The combination of cinnamon and lemon is one of the most common strategies used in natural medicine.

Ingredients

  • 1 teacup boiling water
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1/2 – 1 medium lemon (juice)
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon powder (prefer genuine Ceylon cinnamon, if don’t follow the instructions below)

Method

  1. Mix the cinnamon in boiling water and leave to cool.
  2. Then add the honey, fresh lemon juice, mix well and drink.
Tips:

Prefer genuine Ceylon cinnamon. If you can’t find, heat the water, mix and pass it through a coffee filter, to ensure that the water-insoluble and toxic coumarin will not pass into our drink.

Do not add honey to hot water because it will eliminate the benefits of honey.
