Add all the ingredients (except salt): the lentils, the onion, the bay leaves, the carrot, the tomato, the olive oil, pepper, oregano and the water in a pot.
When it stars boiling, close the lid and let it boil in a medium-low heat for 20′ (depending on lentils).
When the have boiled, open the lid, add some salt, stir and remove from heat.
The food is ready to be served.
Tips:
In all legumes we don’t salt them when cooking because they peel.
